MSc in Computer Security and Resilience (new for entry in 2006)The need for professionals capable of assessing, designing and managing secure and trustworthy computer-based systems has never been greater. This course, aimed at computing or mathematics graduates, covers the techniques of computer security and resilience, from cryptography to human factors, including practical experience with tools for trustworthy software development and an individual project. MSc/Diploma in Computing ScienceThe Master of Science (MSc) in Computing Science is an information technology conversion programme requiring little or no previous experience in computing. The Diploma in Computing Science takes nine months full time, or eighteen months part time. It is identical to the first nine months of the MSc. The only difference is that Diploma students do not proceed to a summer dissertation project. Further information about this course is available and a profile is available on the University website. MSc E-Business and Information SystemsThe innovative E-Business and Information Systems programme bridges the disciplines of business and computing science. It aims to fill the void that can sometimes exist between managers who, for the most part, lack the technical expertise of computer scientists, and computer scientists who often lack the business acumen and knowledge of managers. Further information about this course is available. Please contact the postgraduate Secretary at the Business School if you have any queries about this course (). |
