International Scholarships

The University offers International Undergraduate Scholarships of £1,500 called International Undergraduate Merit Scholarships (IUMS). The University also offers International Family Discounts (IFD) for relatives of international students and graduates.

Scholarships for penultimate year undergraduates

There are several schemes open to Undergraduates in their penultimate year.

The Wellcome Trust

These scholarships provide promising undergraduates with "hands-on" experience of research and to encourage them to consider a career in research. Preference is given to undergraduates without previous research experience. Students are encouraged to arrange their scholarship away from their usual place of study. University Vacation Scholarships

The aim of University Vacation Scholarships is to provide undergraduates who have research-potential with experience of research and to encourage them to consider a career in academic research when they graduate.
