Nuno Ferreira NevesNuno Ferreira Neves was born in Lisboa, Portugal, on March 13, 1969. He received a Licenciatura (5 year degree) and a Master degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1992 and 1995 from the Universidade Técnica de Lisboa. He received a Ph.D in 1998 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 1991 he joined INESC, where he worked in the Distributed Systems Group. From 1996 he was a research assistant at the Center for Reliable and High-Performance Computing at the University of Illinois. During 1997 and 1998 he worked as a research consultant at the ECE Department at Purdue University. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Informatics of the University of Lisbon. His research was recognized with the William C. Carter award at the 1998 IEEE International Fault-Tolerant Computing Symposium. His research interests include fault-diagnosis and recovery techniques, and tools for the development of distributed applications. |
