IBM Zurich Research LaboratoryThe IBM Zurich Research Laboratory is the European branch of IBMs world-wide Research Division. The Lab provided two different areas of expertise to MAFTIA. The Network Security and Cryptography group was involved in the development of the secure middleware protocols, in particular for the asynchronous protocols. They collaborated with Lisbon and with Newcastle in the work on dependable middleware, and with LAAS in the work on distributed authorisation. They also contributed their expertise in cryptographic algorithms and protocols to the formal model for verification and assessment. The Global Security Analysis Laboratory led the work devoted to the specification, design and implementation of an intrusion-tolerant intrusion-detection system. They collaborated intensively with Newcastle, LAAS, and Lisbon on the MAFTIA conceptual model, architecture and middleware, and worked with the Network Security and Cryptography group on the demonstration of an intrusion-tolerant intrusion detection system.
These people worked on MAFTIA. Names in bold are Executive Board members, others are Research Associates. Dominique Alessandri |
