Brief Biography
Cristina received a B.S. in Mathematics from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ - Brazil), an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Rensseleaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI - USA), an M.Sc. in Software Engineering and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California (USC - USA). She has participated in several conference program committees, has been the Program Committee Chair for ICSR-7, and has co-organized all but one of the workshops on Architecting Dependabale Systems (WADS). Additionally, she has been working as an expert advisor to the European Comission. Cristina's research aim is that of facilitating the design, development and evolution of dependable computer-based systems. Her current research interests include software architectures, product lines, component-based software engineering, and reengineering, both theory and practice, with a special focus on the way that these relate to dependable systems.
