Brief Biography

Panos Periorellis joined the department in June 2000 as a research associate after successfully completing his Ph.D. in the area of Enterprise Modelling under the supervision of Prof. John Dobson.

Working as an RA on the DSoS project he carried out research into the integration of largely autonomous systems. He investigated transactional models for coordinating legacy systems, fault tolerance of component based systems and organisational failures due to technical problems.

Panos was promoted to Senior research Associate in March 2004 and started work on the GOLD project looking into issues of trust, privacy and security.

Since 1997 he has published over 30 papers on enterprise modelling, organisational aspects of software engineering, distributed computing, web and internet programming, Peer to Peer, complex systems, and natural language processing. His research interests remain in the area of enterprise modelling, disdtributed computing, dependability and complex systems. He holds an an M.Sc and a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Information systems.
