Brief Biography

Michael was a student at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and obtained a Bsc Honours degree in Statistics in 1996, followed by an MSc in Computing Science in 1998. He then accepted a post as a Research Associate within the Department of Computing Science on a joint project with British Telecom entitled "Performance Engineering of Distributed Networks". After a brief spell away, he returned to Newcastle University as a Research Associate on the High Performance (Parallel) Object-Oriented Software Systems (HiPPO) project and is now working on the GOLD project.
